Niels De Keukelaere from WAJOO joined the podcast team in 2020, initially as a host. DS Vandaag is a daily podcast in which a journalist from De Standaard gives you a deep dive in the news. One topic a day. Something we also did in the middle of the pandemic, what an improvised remote studio - read: acoustically optimized guest room in his flat - in Sint-Amandsberg, Belgium.

Over the years Niels his role at the podcast team has grown and diversified significantly. From creating brand new music and sound design for other De Standaard shows to coaching newer hosts, providing feedback on pilots and co-curating the DS Podcastfestival in Oostende. Thereby deepening his level of expertise as a podcast professional with this big Belgian news brand.. This is a very nice and fun collaboration that thrives on dedication to get the best out of the show.
